The campus is situated at NH-31 with 50 acres of land well laid with roads, electric installation, water supply, underground drainage etc.

K.K.Polytechnic offers Diploma programmes in various branches of engineering for boys & girls separately i.e. Electrical,Mechanical,Electronics,Computer,Architectural, Civil & Automobile Engineering. Samajik Kalyan Sanstha is Reg. under society registration Act21,1860 having registration No.-590 dated 10-12-1993.this society to achive its objective initially established an institution named K.K.I.T.I in 1993 for the promotion of Vocational Training & affiliation from the State Council for Vocational Training, Patna (Bihar)

it has been a successful institution in creating a platform for deserving students of the state. The institution has a mission of imparting technical education to create a new technical knowlege based professionals who will be capable to face the challenges of the globalization process. The institute also provide opportunities for a bright career. It gives a vision of the 21 st century. The management has taken provide care of the institution in providing job oriented Vocational,Diploma & Degree level courses which are not only relevent for the changing needs of the time with regard to human resources and man power but also prepare students for self employment.

POLYTECHNIC EDUCATION : AN OVERVIEW

The rapid industrialization and globalization has developed an environment for free flow of information and technology through various fast and efficient means world over. This has led to shrinking of world, bringing people from different culture and environment together, giving rise to a global village. A shift has been taking place in India from closed economy to knowledge based and open economy since last few decades. In order to cope up with the challenges of handling new technologies, materials and methods, we have to provide human resources having appropriate knowledge, professional skills and attitude. Technical education system is one of the significant components of the human resource development and has grown pretty well during all these years and now it is time to consolidate and infuse quality aspect in the delivery system.

Technical education plays an important role in the socio-economic development of the country in general, emancipation and empowerment of poor and disadvantaged groups / population in particular. It provides varied type of manpower. It is backbone of a country for its infrastructural, industrial and |||onomic development. Our technical education system provides the practical engineering education to students so as to groom up their personalities to such a level that they create a mark not only in the growth and development of our own country but also make a remarkable and positive dent in developed knowledge economics of the world.

The polytechnic education caters to the need of Industry / Govt. Departments / Public Sector
Undertakings / Defense / Railways and all other employers by providing skilled technicians, supervisors and middle level Technical trained man-power. In the coming years there is going to be greater demand for skilled man-power, not only in the service sector but also in the core manufacturing industry. Indian Technicians have already demonstrated their worth globally. 
                                                                                  
At present there are 13 Govt. Polytechnics & 4 private Polytechnics in the state with approval intake of approx3800. The Govt, of Bihar is very keen to expand polytechnic education and to produce quality technician manpower through polytechnics in the state. The 11th plan targets are to produce 50,000 diploma holders annually. During the last three years the State Government / the department has taken many initiatives to improve the polytechnic education & open new polytechnics in private sector.

ADMISSION
The admission shall be provided on merit basis. the admission seats are limited for each course. The students are best acvised to apply in time to secure admission and disappointment. The students whose results are awaited or their mark sheet have not been provided well in time, will be admitted on provisional basis, subject to their fulfilling the stipulates admission qulification later on in case they fall short of those qulification, the fees paid by them will not be refunded.

The application form complete in all respects and accompanied with the 1st term fees and undermentioned documents be submitted to the Principal of the Polytechnic.

1) All original copies of Admit-Card,marksheet and certificate of class X and SLC/CLC to be submitted.

2)Five Passport size photograph

3)Nativity/Permanent Residential Certificates of Bihar issued by S.D.O. ( Not for management quota)

4)Cast Certificate in case of SC,ST or OBC issued by S.D.O.

5)In case of PH Candidate ,PH certificate issued by C.S.

ELIGIBILITY

The candidates passing S.S. Examination/Matric/I.C.S.E./C.B.S.E. Or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and with a minimum 50% of marks are eligible for seeking admission to the polytechnic

RULES FOR ADMISSION

The Admission to Diploma courses is through Combined examination conducted by Bihar combined entrance examination board. Admission would also be made on the basis of Combined Entrance Test (CET) Only such candidates will eligible to be considered for admission who have passed their S.S. Examination with a minimum of 50% of marks.

CHANGE OF COURSES

Once a student takes admission in a particular course he /she will not be allowed to change the courses under any circumstances.

ATTENDANCE AND PERIODICAL EXAMINATION

Student must be regular in attending their classes including practical and intership,80% attendance in each subject is compusory for appering in the examination.Regular examination shall be conducted throught the session. in case of absence from any examination without any reasonable ground the students shall not be allowed to apper in the Board examination of Polytechnic.

UNIFORM

Student shall get two sets of uniform stitched within 7 days from the date of admission and shall wear the same daily right from his residence till reaching back to the residence.

Boys: Sky blue Shirt with Black trouser & Black Shoe
Girls: Ash Color Shalwar with White top & Ash color dupatta
In winter: Above uniform with black sweater/Navy blue Blazer

IDENTITY CARD

Each and every student will have to obtain his/her identity Card duly signed by the Principal from the respective office counter. Every students must carry his/her identity card along with his/ her and will have to produce the same on demand inside or outside the college campus.

LIBRARY RULES

The college is furnished with a rich and information library comprising of renowned books and nation wide Accepted journals to enhance engineer's education.
During college hours, library is opened to all the students perusing their polytechnic study from the institution. A library is satisfying the thirst for knowledge To enable this task certain rules are required to be followed for conduct of discipline for benefit to all These rules will help in creating necessary condition under which the library in the modern sense can be established and maintained adequately to serve the needs of users. The lips are appended below :-

Student must bring library card complete with photo identifications duly signed by librarian and Principal with them.

The books will be issued only when the library card is produced before  the librarian.

Books can be issued only on personal card.

Student must maintained pin drop silence in the library.

Books will be issued only for 15 days. After 15 days students charged @ 5/- per day as a late fine.

While lie book issued to the borrowers is damaged or destroyed he/she will have to pay the fine.

Students are strictly prohibited to bring their personal book and their belonging in the Library.

If a student wants to keep the books for more than 15 days, the book will be re-issueed to him/heron the decision of librarian.   

GAMES & SPORTS

The Institute has facilities for almost all the popular games like Football , Cricket, badminton, Carrom, Volleyball etc.

CURRICULAR/CO-CURRICULA/EXTRA-CURRICULAS

The Multi disciplinary curriculum is dynamic, flexible and need based which aims to delivers skill oriented and broad based  education, integrating with IT and modern industry practices for an all round development of future technicians having competencies Relevant fields.

Seminar workshop, technology demonstrations, guest lectures, industry interaction and project works firmly root the diploma students to the real world by providing an overview and orientation to the world of Technology. It provides for an enhanced environment for thinking, learning and gestation.

It ensures a fundamental and common approach for emerging Industry in consonance with the emerging challenges, needs of the industry and the overall vision and goal to Technician Education.

It provides uniform basic knowledge and skill competencies, generic to the disciplines of service industry and Engineering & Technology with vertical and horizontal mobility of the students for their  professional growth. Special emphasis being laid on communication skill. Experts training for students have been outsourced. Languages lab have been set up in this polytechnic.

With an object of overall personality development and to inculcate team spirit appropriate focus has been laid on  sports and allied activities.

RULES OF INSTITUTE

  1. Candidates shall abide by the rules & regulations in force as well as those that may be issued by the Institute from time to time.
  2. False declaration of qualification by the candidate will disqualify his/her admission to the Institute including appropriate penal action.                                                      
  3. This Prospectus provides all necessary information that you need as a student of the Diploma courses of the college. If you still need further clarification please contact Principal/Administrative Officer.
  4. The admission is confirmed only; after submission of admission fee and SLC/CLC.   
  5. The candidate has to pay the first installment of the fee before the batch commences.
  6. The student is entitled to have the Roll No,, Identity Card, Invoice after the admission.
  7. A student must wear his uniform and carry his/her Identity Card while attending the theory/practical sessions and produce it on demand.
  8. The candidate has to surrender his/her Identity Card at the time of receiving the diploma.
  9. The institution will not be responsible for any loss of belongings left at its premises.
  10. Smoking, eating Chewing etc. are strictly prohibited inside the premises.
  11. Student accompanied by visitor/friend / relative will not be allowed into the class / machine room.
  12. Any student seeking batch/branch transfer may have to wait for the availability.
  13. The institution may revise, amend or change any of the foregoing rules from time to time if required.
  14. Vehicle of student should be parked only in those area as provided for that purpose. The institute accepts. no responsibility for their safe custody.
  15. Any change in the address of the student must be notified in writing to the institute's office.
  16. Use of mobile phones in the premises of the Institute is prohibited.
  17. Any student found guilty / misbehaving violating the instruction of the authority or found violating any of the above points may be fined, suspended or terminated from the institution with prior notice.
